World Kidney Day 2025

This year’s World Kidney Day campaign theme, “Are Your Kidneys OK? Detect early, protect kidney health”, focuses on prevention. It emphasises the importance of early detection and protection of kidney health to prevent chronic kidney disease (CKD) & its severe complications. We are proud to be an official campaign partner. 

The campaign goal is to raise awareness about the risk factors for CKD, such as diabetes and hypertension, and to promote targeted testing, especially for high-risk populations. Early detection policies for individuals at risk can reduce the healthcare costs associated with kidney failure and improve quality of life. In addition, the campaign highlights that global efforts should also focus on raising awareness among the general population, promoting health, and implementing education programmes.  

Preventive care and patient education are part of Diaverum’s holistic care approach 

At Diaverum, we actively promote preventive care and patient education as part of our holistic approach to renal care. This is a key component of our True care culture and part of our mission to provide life-enhancing renal care & empower patients to live fulfilling lives. 

We are increasingly active in prevention and pre-dialysis care to slow down disease progression to end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). Additionally, a significant portion of CKD cases is attributed to conditions like diabetes, often linked to lifestyle choices. Our d.ACADEMY programme further demonstrates our dedication to the continuous education and development of healthcare professionals, while also raising awareness about kidney care among patients, caregivers, and the wider communities we serve. We also organise events to raise public awareness about conditions that can lead to kidney failure. This way, we leverage our expertise to advance kidney disease prevention and improve the health of the communities in which we operate.
