Under the theme “Kidney Health for All – Advancing equitable access to care and optimal medication practice”, the 2024 campaign will focus on raising awareness of the importance of ensuring equitable access to appropriate treatment and care for people living with kidney disease, in order to improve their quality of life and delay the progression of the disease.
Diaverum is proud to be an official partner of World Kidney Day; our support of this day is firmly embedded in our organisation’s values and activities, including our recent 2023 ‘Diaverum for Health Challenge’.
As part of the campaign, we’re raising awareness of the importance of transplantation, as we believe it is the treatment that truly offers life-enhancing renal care, by freeing patients from the burden associated with dialysis and allowing them to live fulfilling lives.
We are proud to share this inspiring story by Dr Domingos Machado, nephrologist and Diaverum’s Transplantation Ambassador, who, deeply driven by our True care culture, made a life-changing decision a few years ago, that changed someone’s else’s life too. Watch the video below to learn more.
Todaay on 14 March we are sharing Dr Machado’s full story, to mark World Kidney Day.
“Kidney health for all’ must be more than a campaign slogan”
