Following two initial acquisitions in Marrakech and Agadir, Diaverum, the global leading renal care services provider, continues its expansion in Morocco, with the acquisition of the Centre for Nephrology and Haemodialysis of Meknès (C.N.H.M) and the dialysis centre El Basma (Basma).
This acquisition further consolidates Diaverum's ability to offer life-enhancing renal care across Morocco, by building upon CNHM and Basma’s world-class medical standards and care practices, that over the years have been instrumental in developing nephrology and dialysis in the country.
Hervé Gourgouillon, Regional Vice-President at Diaverum, commented on the acquisition’s significance: "After proving our care model’s resilience against the Covid-19 pandemic and our mid-2019 market entry in Morocco, we are honoured and proud to demonstrate our long-term commitment to our growth aspiration in the country. We are inspired by our values to empower our patients to live fulfilling lives, in a landmark year for healthcare in Morocco, with the improved coverage of the prior Ramed patients".
Dr. El Hocein Dkhissi, founder of the two centres being acquired, spoke about what the future holds for the two clinics: “I am delighted that our clinics are becoming part of Diaverum, as we share many common professional values. I am looking forward to working with a healthcare service provider with global reach, and with the agility to improve and further grow our existing services”.
Charles-Alexandre Thevenin, Director of Operations and Human Resources for Diaverum Morocco, added to Dr Dkhissi’s comments: “Team spirit is part of our DNA; we are delighted to expand it above and beyond our existing presence in Marrakech and Agadir with the people of Meknès, anchored by the expertise and knowledge of Dr. Dkhissi”.
Toon Keupink, Country Managing Director for Diaverum Morocco, rounded off the comments by adding: “The CNHM and Basma clinics employ multidisciplinary teams that provide care for more than 260 chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. Let me warmly welcome them to Diaverum - we look forward to working with them all”.
