Today Diaverum announces that Kirsty Bashforth is stepping down as Diaverum’s Chief Business Officer after almost four years of contribution to the business across different roles.

Kirsty joined the Diaverum Board in March 2019 as the remuneration committee chair before moving into the Executive team in August 2020 to further develop specific functional areas of the business. These included HR, culture, communications, marketing, patient experience and d.HOLIDAY.

After handing over HR as a planned succession to Andreas Fagher in November 2021, Kirsty additionally led the work to mature the company’s operating model and holiday dialysis commercial offerings, as well as worked with country managers to deepen the focus on organic growth.

In all her roles, Kirsty demonstrated unparalleled commitment and energy, change management skills, role model leadership and strategic thinking, adding value to the broader executive team’s work.

With Kirsty’s departure, Bruno Polizio has been appointed VP Stakeholder Communications, responsible for communications, marketing, patient experience & community affairs, and ESG, reporting directly to me. At the same time, Greece Country Manager Aris Bailan will now work directly with me and Michaela Blomstrand in evolving our holiday dialysis products further. Kirsty will be overseeing the handover of these areas before leaving the business on 31 March 2023.

I would like to thank Kirsty for her remarkable contribution to the company. Her four years of service have been instrumental in Diaverum’s transformation into a mature, future-looking, agile renal care provider well positioned for future growth.

We will all miss Kirsty; please join me in wishing her the best of luck in her future endeavours!
