Diaverum Saudi Arabia made a compelling return to the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh last month, highlighting its mission, “For Life – for a Sustainable Future of Health”. Held between 21-23 October 2024, Diaverum showcased its leadership in sustainable healthcare, inviting visitors to engage in discussions on value-based care, healthcare innovation, and strategic partnerships, affirming its commitment to advancing renal care across the Kingdom.

The Global Health Exhibition, held annually in Riyadh, is Saudi Arabia’s premier healthcare event. This year’s event, which drew over 100,000 visitors featured over 500 speakers and more than 1,200 exhibitors from across the globe. With a focus on advancing healthcare through technological innovation, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership, the exhibition provides a critical platform for showcasing ground-breaking medical solutions, exchanging expertise, and advancing collaboration to address the future needs of the global healthcare industry.

Diaverum Saudi Arabia’s participation, considered amongst the strongest at this prestigious event, featured eight panels and fireside chats with leading experts, inspiring meaningful discussions on the future of sustainable healthcare and value-based care models. An especially important highlight was the "Ambassadors For Life" panel, where four remarkable Diaverum patients — a diver, a cyclist, a professor, and an artist— shared their personal stories and achievements -  a result of focused quality of life programmes driven by Diaverum Saudi Arabia.

Another key highlight was the “Innovation For Life” panel hosted in close collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden and included a fika (a Swedish coffee break typically accompanied by pastries) complemented by homemade cinnamon buns. The panel, moderated by the Ambassador of Sweden, H.E. Petra Menander, included panellists from Swedish and Saudi institutions including the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia. The panel focused on how sustainable partnerships across sectors can enable solutions that tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow’s health care needs – For Life.

Visitors also had the opportunity to engage in ‘For Life’ activities -  practical exercises and learn valuable tips on incorporating wellness practices into their daily routines, supported by a well-known health and wellness expert.

Diaverum’s presence was acknowledged and honoured with visits from several key stakeholders in the Saudi healthcare sector, including the Saudi Minister of Health, H.E. Mr. Fahad Aljalajel, who praised Diaverum’s commitment in the market as well as its ambitious growth agenda to provide a more holistic model of care that goes beyond its high quality and integrated dialysis services.

Ziyad Kabli, Senior Vice President – Middle East at Diaverum, commented on the overwhelming success of the event: “At this significant exhibition, we showcased Diaverum’s transformative role within Saudi Arabia’s ambitious healthcare transformation agenda. Our standardised Care Delivery Model continues to improve value and clinical outcomes, and we’re providing real value to patients through exceptional medical care, significantly enhancing their quality of life.

"I am both proud and inspired by the success we achieved at this important event, and that we articulated our belief & ambitions for this transformative market. My congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this to life; the hard work will continue to deliver on our promises.”

Diaverum's presence at the Exhibition took place in close collaboration with M42, which further showcased the Group's expertise through a series of panels featuring specialists from Diaverum, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC), National Reference Laboratory (NRL), and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi
