Dr. Dragan Milevski, one of our colleagues from Diaverum North Macedonia, has been recognised by one of the country’s most prestigious doctor-led organisations.
Chief Doctor at the Delchevo clinic, Dr. Milevski received the "Sveti (Saint) Naum Ohridski” Award, the highest honour given out on an annual basis by the Doctors’ Chamber of the Republic of North Macedonia, an independent, professional organisation for all medical doctors in the country.
The Award given to Dr. Milevski acts as an acknowledgement for medical doctors who have achieved outstanding results in their field. To qualify for the award, they must meet exacting criteria, including having consistently demonstrated a conscientious and responsible performance, as well as superlative patient treatment results. Nominations are submitted by the local chambers committee and are voted for by its members.
Dr. Milevski and his peers were celebrated in a ceremony held at the Sveta Sofia Church in Ohrid, a city in the south of the country known for its historical significance. It was attended by members of the Chamber and high representatives of state institutions, including the President of the Chamber, prof. Dr. Kalina Grivcheva Stardelova; Deputy President of the Chamber, Assoc. Dr. Bekim Ismaili; and Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Maјa Manoleva.
Speaking at the ceremony, which also saw the Chamber celebrate its 31st anniversary, Dr. Ismaili said: “we thank all our colleagues for your dedication to work in caring for the health of our patients. You are the pillar of the Chamber and this day is meant for you".
Commenting on Dr Milevski’s recognition, Dimitar Klisarovski, Country Manager Diaverum North Macedonia, added: “I am delighted that Dr. Milevski, one of our most valued colleagues, is being celebrated with such an important award. Following an internal recognition earlier this year, where his Diaverum peers named him “Doctor of the Year”, it’s wonderful to see his contribution to the provision of life-enhancing renal care being noticed outside of the organisation as well. On behalf of all of our team in North Macedonia, I wish him many congratulations for this fantastic achievement”.
