We are pleased to announce that Diaverum UK has been awarded a significant new contract to supply life-enhancing renal care in Woodgate, Birmingham.

The contract, which was awarded in January 2024, came through a University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust tender. It encompasses the provision of fully managed services - including nursing, consumables, equipment, facilities, pharmaceuticals and nutrition services - at the Woodgate Dialysis Unit for the next 12 years.

The Woodgate Dialysis Unit currently includes 24 dialysis stations where 19 staff care for 97 patients. The clinic has good transport links to Birmingham city centre and motorway links, as well as a surrounding green area.

This announcement marks Diaverum UK’s further expansion into the West Midlands, where it has established itself as a long-term provider of renal care services. With the addition of this unit, more than 80 patients in the area will now have access to Diaverum’s world-class renal care, delivered through our standardised, proprietary care delivery model, enabled by our continuously evolving digital infrastructure

Commenting on the news, Lisa Jordan, Managing Director for Diaverum UK, said: “We are thrilled to announce the inclusion of the Woodgate Dialysis Unit to our portfolio of clinics, which represents a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional healthcare to our communities. The dialysis centre is designed to offer comprehensive, patient-centred care, leveraging the latest medical advancements and technologies. Our dedicated team of nursing professionals is excited to serve our patients in a comfortable and modern environment, ensuring the highest standards of medical excellence and compassionate care”.
