Diaverum Romania has launched its all-new nephrology and dialysis medical Centre in Mediaș, the latest investment in a series of ambitious projects, following the opening of the Nephrology Medical Centre of Excellence in Bucharest, in November 2022.

The new centre offers patients a broad portfolio of medical services, ranging from preventive care, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis to integrated management of chronic kidney disease and its complications. Through its Prevention Programme, the Medias clinic supports patients with the detection, monitoring and treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), its complications and other types of kidney damage.

The newly launched clinic, located in the city centre, covers a space of over 1,200 m2. It is comprised of 24 fully equipped dialysis stations where 35 highly experienced and capable staff currently care for 140 patients. Beyond this, it offers services that cater to the complex range of medical specialties associated with CKD, providing patients an integrated treatment approach that makes full use of Diaverum’s proprietary digital infrastructure, creating a new benchmark in the standards of renal care in the area. Additionally, special attention has been paid to creating a comfortable and pleasant space for patients, with such as a digital treatment support system, internal TV communication channel dedicated to patients and the deployment of the d.CARE app for further enhancing patient / care team communications.
