We are delighted to announce that our Nursing Programme, “Competence in Practice”, was recently re-accredited with the rating ‘highly commended’, by the Accreditation Committee of the European Dialysis and Transplant Nurses Association/European Renal Care Association (EDTNA/ERCA).

The EDTNA/ERCA accreditation programme evaluates and accredits educational activities offered to healthcare staff working within renal care, looking at the type and quality of the course being offered. They also support educators in developing their skills, and share best practices.

Diaverum's nursing programme, which was first recognised by the organisation in 2007, was re-accredited for four more years. It has been awarded 25 EDTNA/ERCA learning hours, enhancing the value of the programme and contributing to the enrichment of our nurses' curriculum upon completion. Diaverum representatives were presented with a certificate during the 51st EDTNA / ERCA Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania, where Diaverum was a key contributor in the three-day event.

Commenting on the recognition, Suzanne Pearce, Corporate Nursing Director, said: “Being accredited by a reputable organisation such as EDTNA/ERCA for 16 consecutive years, signifies that our nursing programme meets the highest standards in renal care. The revision of our programme to include 25 EDTNA/ERCA learning hours, and re-accreditation with a highly commended status, is testament to our ongoing commitment to offer quality and excellence in staff training, which ultimately supports our mission to deliver life-enhancing care to renal patients”.

Israel Silva, Corporate Nursing Director, added: “We are determined to keep staff training at the heart of our work at Diaverum, as empowered and educated nurses are fundamental in developing a culture of True care and setting high standards of care excellence. Accreditations and renewals like these serve as quality measures, ensuring that our programme adheres to recognised standards and best practices”.
